Tuomo Kauttu is a partner at Aliant and heads the Aliant practice in Finland. Tuomo graduated from the University of Helsinki with a Master of Law degree and pursued his postgraduate LL.M. at the University of Washington. His LL.M. program focused on corporate law, corporate taxation, mergers & acquisitions, investments, and business planning. Following his graduation and court training, Tuomo gained experience in corporate finance at a bank. He then served as an attorney intern at a New York law firm for one year, enriching his understanding of U.S. corporate law, Finnish law, government procedures, and international business practices. For the past 25 years, he has practiced business law in Helsinki, catering to both local and cross-border legal needs.

As a member of the Finnish Bar Association and an associate member of the American Bar Association (ABA), Tuomo actively participates in the International Business Law Committee and the committee on Mergers and Acquisitions. Additionally, he contributes to the Advisory Group of Boardman Ltd, a leading organization developing active ownership and board work competences in Finland. Tuomo has authored numerous professional articles and continues to lecture at various institutes in Finland and abroad.
