Gideon Koren is partner and head of the middle east practice of Aliant. He is a highly regarded attorney with over 20-years of experience in Corporate and Commercial Law, Intellectual Property Law and more. Over the course of his career, he has provided legal counsel to hundreds of companies, international institutions and has been instrumental in several prominent cases in the Israeli courts.

Koren’s clients include local and foreign companies, and businessmen working in Israel and abroad. He advises his clients on business and commercial activities, guiding them through complex legal procedures and dealing with government authorities on their behalf.

In addition to commercial and corporate law, Koren is a recognized authority in procedural law, litigation and arbitration. He is frequently asked to serve as an arbitrator by many corporations, organizations and private businessmen, and he has officiated as an arbitrator in many commercial arbitrations, including high profile cases.

Koren also specializes in several unique legal areas including: Communication law, and acts as the legal advisor to one of the leading Israeli television and production companies; Inheritance law, where he deals with the sensitive and complex nature of multinational estates. Koren is also highly involved in preserving buildings and sites in Israel and is the legal advisor for the Society of Preservation of Israel Heritage Sites, the main Israeli institution engaged with the preservation and legal protection of historical structures in the country.

Due to his expertise, Koren is an avid speaker at professional forums and conventions, and a lecturer at a number of universities including: the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the Tel Aviv University, the Academy of Arts and Design “Bezalel”, and the Israel Institute of Technology “Technion”.

His published works include an extensive chapter on Israeli arbitration law, published in the  ‘Israeli Business Law, an Essential Guide’ by Klewer Law International; and a comprehensive overview on Israeli labor law, published by Globe Law & Business.
