Practice Areas
Andrea has transferred into private practice his professional experience with a multinational group based in the U.S. operating in the insurance brokerage sector where he held the position of head of legal & compliance for 5 years. After that experience, he has been providing, for now over almost 15 years, legal assistance to domestic and international clients in the areas of insurance, finance, corporate and data protection law, in particular with respect to all regulatory aspects relevant to their business (e.g. drafting of pre-contractual and contractual documentation – life and non-life insurance, design and implementation of distribution structures, drafting of joint-ventures agreements, articles of association, shareholder agreements et alia).
He is active as a litigator primarily in insurance cases, and he is often a speaker and a trainer at conferences and workshops held by insurance companies, intermediaries, and associations. Besides his participation to numerous collective operas, and publishing on legal magazines in the insurance sector, Andrea has published three books as a solo author: “The civil and penal responsibility of the directors of incorporated companies”, (Halley 2007), “Damaging party, damaged party, and automobile liability insurance”, (Maggioli 2011) and “Damages liquidation in automobile liability insurance”, (Maggioli 2014).
Also, Andrea is a member of the Scientific Committee of ACB (Trade Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers) Insurance Training School and member of the faculty of CINEAS, a non-profit university consortium, founded by the Politecnico Milano (POLIMI) in 1987.
Andrea attended a post-graduate specialization course (Notary School) in preparation for the notary and lawyer exam and several post qualification courses concerning, inter alia, the insurance sector and the law firm marketing.
Andrea also focuses with passion on the matters that occupy him daily, both by attending CLE classes, and through an activity as trainer in the areas of insurance and finance.
In addition to the above mentioned monographs, Andrea is also the author, inter alia, of the chapters “The insurance contract”, “The reinsurance contract” and “The insurance brokerage contract” (“The single contracts”, Giuffrè 2016 by Cassano – Clarizia) and of the comment about “Insurance Brokers and Agents’ P&I Insurance policies” (Civil liability hypertext 2008/2013 – UTET).
